綫路英雄 and 做好自己 have both been building form throughout this prep, but with heavy early pace expected to compress the field from the front, the question is how each handles a truly pressured run over this ST 1400m closer. 綫路英雄 heads the field at from gate 9 — 潘頓 for 沈集成, cheek piece and tongue tie, rated 71; won at ST 1200m on both February 19 and March 22, then placed third at ST 1400m on May 31 — a horse stepping up to 1400m off back-to-back 1200m wins makes a natural progression case, and 潘頓 in the saddle adds further confidence. 做好自己 right on its heels, jumping from 7 — 布文 for 呂健威, cross blinkers and tongue tie, rated 70; three consecutive placings at HV 1650m capped by a third on May 20 — consistent form at a longer trip on the opposite track, and the move to ST 1400m is actually a shortening, which could unlock more pace. 友瑩仁 challenges most credibly, drawn at gate 10 — 艾兆禮 for 伍鵬志, hood and tongue tie, rated 66; won at ST 1400m on May 31 and twice before that at this exact trip in February and March — three wins at this course and distance this season is the most compelling strike rate in the race. 正本巨星 holds a realistic chance from stall 2 — 莫雷拉 for 方嘉柏, rated 71; poor recent efforts — a tenth on June 13 and an eighth in May — need explaining before this can be rated highly, but 莫雷拉's booking from a favourable inside gate is too hard to ignore entirely. 一世美麗 gets the rail at stall 1 — 布浩榮 for 蔡約翰, hood, rated 73; placed third twice and second once at ST 1400m in recent starts, but a seventh on June 7 interrupted that sequence — the draw is the asset here and the return to form is the condition for staying in the pick. 金牌活力 completes the card from stall 3 — 田泰安 for 桂福特, cheek piece, rated 73; mainly a HV runner whose ST form is limited — a ninth at this trip on May 31 is the only recent ST reference, and a third at HV 1200m in April was the last convincing effort, making this a speculative inclusion at the tail.
